IEEE MetroLivEnv 2022 will have the following awards, which will be announced and bestowed at the Conference Closing Ceremony.
Best Conference Paper Award "Domenico Grimaldi"
The Best Conference Paper Award is dedicated to the memory of Prof. Domenico Grimaldi, whose passion, enthusiasm, and commitment for science will be of inspiration for all the recipients of this prize.
This award recognizes the most outstanding paper presented at IEEE MetroLivEnv Workshop.
The Best Conference Paper Award is sponsored by ALMA Software.
The author of the awarded paper, and co-authors if any, will be entitled to:
- A prize money amounting to 500 EUR;
- A signed and stamped official Award Certificate;
- The announcement of their achievement on a special conference webpage.
Basis for Judging: A selection committee will be appointed by the IEEE MetroLivEnv Awards Committee Chairs. Papers are judged based on technical merit, originality, potential impact on the field, clarity of the written paper, and quality of the conference presentation.
Presentation: The award will be announced and presented at the IEEE MetroLivEnv Closing Ceremony.
Best Conference Paper Award - 2nd and 3rd Classified
This award recognizes the most outstanding paper - 2nd and 3rd classified presented at IEEE MetroLivEnv Workshop.
The Awards are sponsored by MDPI Buildings Journal.
The author of the awarded paper, and co-authors if any, will be entitled to:
- A prize money amounting to 300 CHF (Second Classified) and 200 CHF (Third Classified);
- A signed and stamped official Award Certificate;
- The announcement of their achievement on a special conference webpage.
Basis for Judging: A selection committee will be appointed by the IEEE MetroLivEnv Awards Committee Chairs. Papers are judged based on technical merit, originality, potential impact on the field, clarity of the written paper, and quality of the conference presentation.

Best Paper Presented by a Young Researcher
This award recognizes the best paper authored and presented by a researcher younger than 35 years in age.
The Paper Presented by a Young Researcher Award is sponsored by MDPI Sensors Journal.
The author of the awarded paper, and co-authors if any, will be entitled to:
- A prize money amounting to 600 CHF;
- A waiver on the Article Processing Charges (APCs) for the extended version of the Best Paper on MDPI Sensors;
- A signed and stamped official Award Certificate;
- The announcement of their achievement on a special conference webpage.

- A signed and stamped official Award Certificate;

Best Standardization Paper
This award recognizes the paper presented at IEEE MetroLivEnv Workshop with the most significant contribution to the international standardization in the electrotechnical, electronic and telecommunication field, with a specific focus on new mobile technologies.
The author of the awarded paper, and co-authors if any, will be entitled to:
- A free one-year membership to one of CEI Technical Commettees at winner's choice, which includes participation to the standardization activities and download of CEI Magazine and all CEI and CEI EN standards issued during the membership period, related to the chosen Technical Commettee;
- A signed and stamped official Award Certificate;
- The announcement of their achievement on a special conference webpage.
Basis for Judging: A selection committee, which will include a delegate of CEI Comitato Elettrotecnico Italiano, will be appointed by the IEEE MetroLivEnv Awards Committee Chairs. Papers are judged based on scientific relevance of the topic, technical merit, originality, potential impact on the field, clarity of the written paper, and quality of the conference presentation.
